Meet Our Staff

Paul Aasen Paul Aasen
"The Minnesota Safety Council has two major goals. First, we want to help our members work safer every day. Second, we want to help all Minnesotans recognize and avoid situations that could lead to injury or worse. I have the privilege of working with our great staff and dedicated board to make these goals real. Together, we can work safe, drive safe and live safe."
Janie Ritter Janie Ritter
Vice President
With over 20 years' experience in member relations, government/public affairs, event planning and training coordination, I appreciate the opportunity to work together to ensure Minnesotans “Drive Safe, Work Safe and Live Safe.” Our team works very closely with our members to offer occupational safety and health, traffic, and OSHA/DOT compliance training — through conferences, scheduled classroom, online, and customized on-site programs. Our training assists employers in complying with regulations, and supports their goal of keeping workers safe both on and off the job.
