Disaster Preparedness and Response

NEW three-hour workshop presents practical, hands-on training on how to organize a system of response to an emergency or disaster. The training includes how to apply the incident command system (ICS) model and assign roles and responsibilities to effectively respond to an event. A full-scale evacuation exercise is included where participants practice the skills learned in a simulated crisis. Information addressing the emotional aspects of emergencies is also provided, to help participants gain and keep control under stressful conditions.
