Minnesota Safety & Health Conference Speaker Presentation FAQs
Submit your nomination(s) by clicking the button below. We accept nominations by peers or self-nominations. We also encourage “panel” sessions, up to three total presenters.
Nominations are due no later than November 15, 2019.
Speakers will be chosen by November 29, 2019. All nominees, regardless of whether their nomination was/was not accepted, will be notified of their session status by the end of November.
Format for Sessions
Educational sessions are either 1 or 1.5 hours in length
Each session is given an experience level by the speaker who submitted the topic: (1)=Fundamental; (2)=Intermediate; (3)=Advanced
Sessions will be assigned various breakout rooms approximately two weeks prior to the event.

Speaker Fees and Reimbursements
The Minnesota Safety Council does not pay speaker honorariums or reimbursement expenses such as meals, lodging, mileage, etc.
Conference Speaker Registration
All speakers receive a two-day complimentary registration. ($640 value)
Handouts will be available to our attendees via our website only as early as one week prior to the conference.
Your presentation is requested to be sent in PPT or PPTX format by given deadline. We will convert the PPT into a PDF for web use.

Your presentation will be due at given date (2-3 weeks prior) and can be any length necessary.
Your presentation will be uploaded to our website for attendees to download as handouts prior to the conference. All speakers must bring their presentation with them on a jump-drive on the day they're presenting (presentations will not be uploaded on our av equipment). If you wish all attendees to have printed copies of your handouts, we are unable to cover the cost, nor reimburse you, for them. You will be responsible for costs and bringing the necessary copies with you.
Speaker Survey, Biography and Photo
Each speaker is asked to complete a survey regarding their presentation needs as well as submit a short biography to be used for speaker introductions, and a color photo (headshot) saved in TIF or JPG format, 300+ dpi resolution for inclusion in the conference program.
We do not endorse any specific products, companies or speakers. Speakers are not permitted to sell, promote or endorse any company or organization's materials, products or services.
