We appreciate the trust you place in the Minnesota Safety Council. Our privacy policy, describes the information we collect and how we use it. We know that you care how information you provide to us is used and shared, and we promise that we will do so carefully and sensibly.

We are committed to respecting your privacy and the security of your personal information. We will not obtain personally identifying information about visitors to our site unless you choose to provide it to us. What information do we collect?
We collect information (including name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and, when necessary, credit card information) when you:

  • Inquire about our services.

  • Complete an application for membership.
  • Register for a conference or training course.
We receive listings of the domain name, e-mail address, Uniform Resource Locator (URL), and Internet Protocol (IP) address of visitors to our website. We also collect personal information you provide us when you participate in voluntary surveys.

In addition, the Minnesota Safety Council collects aggregate information on what pages visitors access or visit. That general information about visitors to our site includes the type and version of browsers, the operating systems used by visitors, the name of the domains from which they access the Internet, the dates that visitors come to our site, the amount of time spent on the site and the pages visited. None of this information is connected to any personally-identifying information.

When you close your browser, the cookies are deleted.

As is common and accepted business practice, we share the contact information of Minnesota Safety & Health Conference registrants with organizations which exhibit at the conference.

Is Your Information Secure?
We want your online ordering experience to be worry free. It is our intent to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information you have provided. We use a variety of current technologies and processes for protection of our customer data. We limit the information we provide to outside companies with whom we contract to only what they need to carry out their responsibilities. We use SSL (Secure Socket Layers), the most advanced online security system available. With us, all of your personal information – including your credit card number – is encrypted by SSL. Although we transmit your entire credit card number to the appropriate credit card company during order processing, we reveal only the last four numbers of your credit card account number when confirming an order. We maintain the data that you provide us, along with a record of your purchases, in a secure database.

How do we use your e-mail?
When you provide us with your e-mail address, we may send you e-mails necessary to process your order, respond to a request, provide customer service or promote products and services. For example, after you place a training or conference registration or a product order with the Minnesota Safety Council, you will receive an e-mail confirmation.
