Preparing for a DOT Audit

Many organizations that do not haul freight or product for revenue still have a need for commercial vehicles and qualified individuals to operate them. This presentation will help all types of organizations better understand how to operate their vehicles safely, while maintaining compliance.

During this presentation we will discuss who is required to comply with the DOT regulations. There will be an explanation of when qualification files, driver logs, vehicle maintenance files, and drug testing programs need to be in place. Other items covered will be what to look for when hiring an individual and their effect on your insurance costs, as well as employee retention and its importance in your safety and compliance program.

Who would benefit from this seminar? Owners, Management, Operations/Dispatch, Safety Personnel, and New Entrants in DOT Compliance

The following topics, at minimum, will be covered in this 4 hour presentation:
  • What is a Commercial Vehicle?
  • Types of Audit
