About Our Presentations: Grade 6 - 8 Overview

Length: (45 minutes)

Children will learn:

• to stay alert and pay attention around train tracks.
• that loud music and headphones can keep you from hearing a train.
• to expect a train at any time, in either direction, on any track.
• that trains can move at any time in either direction; never crawl between or under a train.
• to cross railroad tracks only at the correct places.
• that railroad tracks, yards, bridges, tunnels and train equipment are private property; trespassers may be subject to arrest and fines.
• to always watch for a second train.
