New Training Requirements for Entry-Level CMV Operators
This week, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration issued a final rule requiring training for entry-level drivers who are subject to the commercial driver's license (CDL) requirements. Drivers who are required to hold a CDL and have less than one year's experience in operating commercial motor vehicles (CMV's ) in interstate commerce are subject to the training requirements. This NEW training program will satisfy the requirements. Entry Level CMV Operator Training will be offered on August 27, September 14, and October 12, from 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. To register or for more information, contact Lisa Kons at 651-228-7330/800-444-9150 or kons@mnsafetycouncil.org.
