March
Ergonomics: Evaluate Your Industrial Workstation, March 29. Learn effective and inexpensive solutions to control musculoskeletal injuries in the industrial setting.
DOT Hazardous Materials: A Regulatory Overview (Duluth), March 30. Learn what to expect and how to prepare for a DOT inspection.
Respirator Fit Testing-Hands On, March 31. Learn when fit testing is required and how often it must be done. Learn how to conduct a respirator fit-test using the protocol described in the revised OSHA Respirator Standard 1910.134.

April
Ergonomics: Evaluate Your Office Workstation, April 1. Practical, effective and inexpensive ergonomic strategies to address musculoskeletal injury prevention.
OSHA 501 Trainer Course in Occupational Safety and Health for General Industry (30 contact hours)
April 5-8. An introduction to OSHA's General Industry Standards and an overview of the more frequently referenced standards. Completion allows you to conduct both a 10- and 30-hour voluntary compliance course and issue course completion cards.
OSHA 503 Update for General Industry Outreach Trainers, April 13-15. For certified OSHA 501 instructors who are active in the field. Outreach trainers are required to attend this course at least once every four years to maintain their trainer status.
Right-to-Know Workshop, April 14. Designed to assist employers in complying with the Minnesota OSHA Right-to-Know Standard and the Federal OSHA Hazard Communication Standard 1910.1200.
Conducting Effective Workplace Safety Inspections, April 15. Provides an overview of the safety and health inspection process, then focuses on specific techniques to improve the process, including the use of checklists in continuous and formal inspections.
Fork Truck Instructor Development Training, April 16. OSHA's General Industry Standard 1910.178 requires fork truck drivers to be trained and authorized. This full-day training provides you with the technical expertise needed to safely operate forklift equipment, info about safe driving procedures, and the skills to conduct an effective training session.
First Aid/CPR Employee Training, April 16
Emergency Response Incident Command, April 19. Train your company's emergency response team to take responsibility as incident commander during hazardous materials spills.
Hazards of Confined Space Entry I, April 19. Focuses on how to comply with Minnesota and Federal OSHA confined space regulations and includes hands-on training in respiratory protection.
Fork Truck Instructor Development Training, Advanced, April 20. Geared for instructors who have had the basic class and need to sharpen their skills to create more challenging and exciting training for their forklift operators.
Spill Response, City of Duluth, April 20.
Emergency Response Initial Training (8-hour), April 21. Meets the initial training requirements of 1910.120.
8-hour Refresher Training for Workers at Hazardous Waste Clean-Up Sites, April 22.
Safety Management for Supervisors, April 22-23. Helps supervisors become effective safety leaders. Learn hazard types, analysis and control, safety inspections, accident response and investigation, and OSHA compliance. Supervisor Safety Certificate awarded upon completion.
Workers' Compensation: Controlling Costs, April 26. How can business control rising premiums and claim costs? Learn practical strategies PLUS hear a success story from a small manufacturing company.
Safety Training Methods, April 26-29. Covers adult teaching techniques, training course development, effective use of teaching aids, basics of speaking and more. Part of the Advanced Safety Certificate Series.
OSHA 502 Update for Construction Industry Outreach Trainers, April 27-29. For OSHA 500 Trainers who are active trainers in the outreach program. It provides an update on such topics as OSHA construction standards, policies, and regulations. Active instructors are required to complete the update course every four years.
