At only $19.95, it's a great reference for each of your safety supervisors. To order DVDs or the dictionary, call Russ at 651-228-7326/800-444-9150 or e-mail him at budin@mnsafetycouncil.org.

For more information about these classes - or any training scheduled through June - see http://www.mnsafetycouncil.org/courses (you can register online too!)

Prices Drop on Life-Saving AEDs
Automated external defibrillators (AEDs) save lives - (just ask Eau Claire basketball coach Dan Sippel, recently in the news after he collapsed in the gymnasium of Chippewa Falls High School and was saved by an AED). Federal OSHA has recommended that all workplaces have an AED in place, and, if you've been waiting to purchase one, the time is now! The prices of AEDs have been dropping recently - as much as 17% percent. If you'd like to learn more, please contact Bryan Bomstad at 651-228-7315/800-444-9150 or by e-mail at bomstad@mnsafetycouncil.org.

How Cold is Too Cold?
We regularly get calls asking how long it's safe to be outdoors in cold weather. The National Weather Service's online wind chill chart is a quick and easy reference that shows at a glance how long it will take frostbite to occur based on wind speed and air temperature. You'll find it at http://www.crh.noaa.gov/mpx/images/newwchill.gif.
