Accident Investigation Resources
No workplace is exempt from unintentional injuries. And since you can't guarantee an accident will
never take place, it's important to know how to properly handle one if it occurs. Our "Safetyworks
Accident Investigation" program is designed to equip your employees with the information they'll need
to understand why accidents occur in the workplace and how to avoid future occurrences. The program
explains the steps in the accident investigation process, and how to document findings, implement
corrective measures, train investigators and much more. "Accident Investigation" comes with a VHS-
video, instructor materials and five employee handbooks. Manufacturer's suggested price is $449 on
sale now to Minnesota Safety Council members for only $259. More detailed information at
www.mnsafetycouncil/products/accident.htm To order, call Russ at 651-228-7326/800-444-9150 or
email him at budin@mnsafetycouncil.org.
New Bicycle Safety Site Offers Info for Bikers, Parents, Communities
Bicycling is as hot as the weather these days, with Lance Armstrong's win in the Tour de France and our
typical Minnesota zest for outdoor summer activities. Our new bicycle safety Web site, "Bike Safe, Bike
Smart!" (www.mnsafetycouncil.org/bicycle) is a great off-the-job safety resource you can share with
your employees. It's got ideas about promoting helmet use and bike safety in the community, a bike
rodeo plan, tips for bikers and parents, activities for kids and more. You'll find a free "Bike Safe, Bike
Smart" brochure filled with safety tips and information that you can print out and distribute to your
employees linked from www.mnsafetycouncil.org/bicycle/programs/index.htm.
