Pedestrian Safety - What About Kids?

Most kids under age 10 can't accurately judge the speed or distance of oncoming traffic. The scope of their side vision is 2/3 that of an adult, which means they can't see oncoming traffic as well. Because of their shorter attention spans and their level of thinking, children are often impulsive and behave unpredictably in traffic situations.

Drivers. Watch for kids.

Parents. Teach your children traffic safety.

Kids. Be alert.
