Globally Harmonized System (GHS) is Here - What Minnesota Companies Need to Know

Members are asking about training for the new Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of chemicals, or GHS. In May, MNOSHA informed federal OSHA of its intent to adopt the revised standard (29 CFR Part 1910.1200) with some exceptions. Part 1910.1200 contains language indicating that ionizing and nonionizing radiation and biological agents are not covered. MNOSHA concurs, but to avoid confusion will not adopt the federal exceptions because they are covered under Minnesota Employee Right-to-Know (ERTK). In addition, while the new 1910.1200 will require retraining, MNOSHA will retain its annual training requirements under Minnesota ERTK for all chemicals, physical agents and infectious agents. Learn what you need to know in our new half-day class.

BONUS: All participants will receive a CD suitable for employee training.
