Safety Committees

REVISED! Do you have more than 25 employees at your business? If so, Minnesota Statute 182.676 requires you to establish a joint labor-management safety committee. (This law can also have implications for businesses with fewer than 25 employees.) This full-day workshop will give you ideas on how to form a safety committee, as well as how to set and meet goals. Learn how to get people involved and motivate your safety committee.

Jan Fedora has worked with the Minnesota Safety Council for over 20 years as an Occupational Safety and Health Consultant. She has also served on the Panel of Advisors, Governor’s Awards Committee, taught at the Minnesota Safety & Health Conference, and conducted training with companies throughout Minnesota on OSHA standards, ergonomics, bloodborne pathogens, management skills, and HR issues, among others. Jan has a business degree from Augsburg College and a Secondary Teaching Certificate from Dakota County Technical College.
